This is the very famous Colosseum. This was built to provide entertainment to the Greeks. It carried an average of 65,000 people per performance.

This is the very famous Parthenon. It was former temple dedicated to the goddess Athena. At the time, it was the most sacred of monuments and was popular in antiquity as a Greek architectual masterpiece.

    The Colosseum, however, is not in Greece. It is in Rome.

Matthew Bishop 6/1/20 What were the factors that led to the downfall of the Roman Republic? 1st Paragraph- When Rome was settled by Etruscans, Greeks, and the Latins they drained swamps into the Tiber river. Tarquin the Proud's Grandfather built the Cloaca Maxima, and this is indirectly the beginning of the Roman Republic. Tarquin the Proud ruled Rome very poorly, as he killed people and his family was just as bad. So after he is expelled from Rome, kings are replaced by consuls. Well this has already lead to the downfall of the Republic. Plebians are not happy, and they refused to serve in the military. This lead to Rome creating a legal code but than they go through the Punic Wars and this creates economic change where farmers lost their land, another reason of why the Republic was going downhill already. The official definition of the One Child Policy is that it is an official program initiated in the late 1970 and early '80s by the central government of China, the purpose of which was to limit the great majority of family units in the country to one child each. 2. The central government, headed by leader Deng Xiaoping gave serious consideration to the law in the late 70s. On September 25, 1980, a public letter published by the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party called upon to adhere the one-child policy.
